OMG TRON YOU’RE BACK OMG I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU GOT MY MESSAGE AND REPLIED SO QUICKLY OMG I MISSED YOU SO MUCH *glomps* Don’t you ever leave ever again ;____;
I’m going to just assume from all the large letters that you’re just trying to emphasize your joy and not trying to freak me out or anything.
And don’t worry. If I ever have to leave for an extended period again, I’ll be sure to let you know :)
Question with 1 note
probendingtronsformerstrooper asked: TRON! ARE YOU STILL ALIVE? YOU'D BETTER BE CAUSE IF YOU AREN'T I'M GOING TO BE VERY UPSET!! (BTW this is PunkyPikachu, I changed my name a little while ago XD)
Hello Punky! It’s good to hear from you again! I’m sorry I haven’t been around recently. Life here on The Grid has been overwhelming my time, and I’d forgotten to even check this area anymore. But since you so obviously would like me to come back, I’ll try to see if my schedule will allow me to spend a little more time here.
Is this proof enough that I am still alive? :P

The Portal closes after 8 hours, or one millicycle, in Grid time. If one millicycle is eight hours, then a cycle is about 8000 hours. CLU was searching for Kevin Flynn’s disc for “What, about a thousand cycles now?” (Castor), meaning approximately 8,000,000 hours in Grid time.
8,000,000 / 24 = 33,333.333 (repeating, of course) days
33,333.333 / 365 = 913.24200913 (repeating, again) years.
This is the amount of time Kevin Flynn spent in the Grid, in Grid time, after being locked inside.
Now, since he was locked inside for approximately 20 years in the real world time, we do:
913.24200913 / 20 = 45.66210045 (repeating) minutes.
So, one minute in the real world translates to approx. 45 minutes on the Grid.
Also, one cycle is 480,000 minutes, in Grid time (8,000 hours)
We do 480,000 / 45 = 10,666.66 (repeating) minutes in the real world.
So, one cycle is about 177.77 hours, or 7.407 days, just over a week.
Checking, Kevin Flynn was in the Grid for 52 * 20 = 1040 weeks in real time.
1040 * 7 = 7280 days in the Grid, in real time.
7280 / 7.407 turns out to be about 982.85405 (not repeating) cycles,
which is pretty damn close to Castor’s approximated one thousand.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS. I’ve been wondering about this stuff for a LONG time, but I could never do this kind of math on my own. I applaud your valiant efforts, good sir :D
Excellent work User, excellent work.

You know when you reblog a text post and it gets shortened and comes out looking like this:
There is actually a way round it, when you go to reblog. Click the grey ‘as’ next to where it will have come up with ‘Reblog link’
And chose ‘as text’
And it’ll crop up as intended:
If this was useful to you please reblog this because I think you’ll agree those messy cut-off posts get pretty annoying.
Omg, that was so annoying, THANK YOU.
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH :’D
Tron! I found a way to fix the Grid Bug problem! XD
Aha! Excellent! It works like a charm too :)

That there is a glomp. Generally you knock the person over when you glomp them, but me glomping you would end up more like Spinner and Zoom there xP
Ahh, I see. In that case, thank you for not knocking me over :P

HAPPY 29th BIRTHDAY TRON!
You are only 8 years and 2 months older than I am :P
Oh, wait. You’re a child of The Grid…
Okay, in Grid time, TRON is actually 408-ish cycles older which is… 367 years and 6-ish months on The Grid…
So much for the 8 years and 2 months theory.
Happy birthday Tron! :D I’m so thankful for your existence and the fact that you came into my life <3
Those are very kind words, thank you :) And thanks to everyone else for wishing me a happy birthday :)
