All I mean is that it seems as though all you want to do is have others talk to me, and as much as I appreciate the help, I’m perfectly capable of handling that aspect on my own.

gargoylesstandingonsuperheroes asked: What is your stance on the introduction of more Users to The Grid?
I’ve always welcomed the idea of having more Users on the Grid, it would help to establish a better understanding of both worlds to each side.
Although Flynn programmed this world to somewhat mimic that of the Users, there’s still a great many differences between them, and I feel that it would be beneficial to learn what we can from each other.
It would also give us programs a better understanding of what it means to truly be “human”, in a sense.

There aren’t many of what you would call “living beings” on the Grid aside from the bits and programs. There are the Grid Bugs that live in the unpopulated areas. And those areas are unpopulated for a reason…
Let’s just say you don’t want to encounter any of these without a means of escape.
Sadly, there isn’t as wide a variety of creatures here on the Grid as there are in the User world. It’s one of the reasons I’m so interested in studying it. For instance, I recently discovered that Users actually use some of their more agile creatures as modes of transportation. I can’t imagine they’re any substitute for modern technology, but apparently they’re used more for recreation and sporting now anyway.
I believe they were called “horses”? Or were they “ponies”? All I remember is that one of them is considered majestic, while the other is considered “a children’s show”. I obviously need to do some more research…

I find Users to be fascinating in every way, shape, and form.
They’re not unlike us programs who go about our days, never asking for anything more than what our programming allows; although some attempt to break the mold, the end result is usually less than successful. This isn’t to say that all Users are incapable of change, just that the norm seems to be consistent with what’s familiar to the person’s life. A fear of the unfamiliar, to put it differently.
But what I find most interesting is their unpredictability. Whereas most programs are expected to fulfill their daily functions and commands, Users have the ability to change up their routines in the most unexpected ways, despite their supposed duties to society. It’s this unpredictableness that continues to surprise and enlighten me with their choices.
Such as why do they continue to show interest in my backside?
It’s these things that make me continue my thorough observations of the Users….
